Position Summary
PMA is currently seeking Project Managers to manage healthcare construction projects at various medical facilities in and around Los Angeles County. Responsibilities include the following:

Coordinating client reviews of the design and managing the clientâs interest during construction and post construction.

Negotiating, administering, and controlling project contracts and agreements.

Identifying potential problem areas in advance, taking corrective action, and advising others of required actions.

Developing and monitoring detailed project budgets and updating detail total project cost estimates.

Developing, managing, and updating project schedules.
-
Conducting construction progress reviews, coordinating changes in scope of work with proper authority, and authorizing payments to landlords within contract limits.

Drafting and negotiating change orders with the contractor.

Assisting with change management.

Providing project closeout documentation.
Position Qualifications

Minimum 5 to 8 years of Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) experience, including maintenance type work, required.

OSHPD certification preferred.

BS or BA in engineering, architecture, or related technical/business field required.

Knowledge of the project life cycle, including master planning, design, and closeout, preferred.

Experience in alternative delivery method preferred.

Experience with project management systems, such as Primavera P6, preferred.

Experience utilizing building information modeling (BIM), in energy and environmental design (LEED-certified) projects, and/or with the Division of the State Architect preferred.

Current professional engineer or architect license in the State of California preferred.

Valid construction manager certification credential from the Construction Manager Certification Institute preferred or must be willing to achieve (company-sponsored) certification within 3 months of hire.
