Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is looking for a Project Manager with an executive presence and a passion for Continuous Improvement to monitor and improve operational processes with the aim of making them as efficient as possible. In this role you will be able to leverage your exceptional research and analysis skills to foresee obstacles, map out workflows, remove waste and low-value activities and provide recommended solutions. Following project management methodologies, you will assist the site director and take the lead in implementing changes and short and long term strategies throughout different areas of the organization from changes to material flow and processes to the existing operations to implementing new solutions for clients including smart automation in the warehouse, your organizational skills, self-initiative and strong sense of urgency to get tasks completed is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will need to understand client requirements, design and implement global supply chain management solutions utilizing standard project management tools and methodologies, and develop financial analysis and simulation of the designed solution.
You will also be the primary point of support for the external or internal client during the implementation lifecycle and ensure a smooth hand-off to the account management, operations and service delivery teams. You will need to effectively communicate updates and feedback to clients, vendors and internal teams.
As a project manager you will also oversee the tracking and monitoring of project issues, risks and escalation to management teams as appropriate. Also you will have oversight of the execution of proposals and presentations for client meetings, manage the relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, you will create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare control board summaries for projects.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a Project Management role in an Operational Supply Chain, Warehouse Management or Distribution environment.
- Microsoft Office Applications – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and especially Microsoft Project Management Program knowledge.
- Excellent cross-department / functional communication, influencing and negotiation to drive project results.
- Problem solving skills, and independent thinking to overcome challenges
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, manage time and multi-task across multiple competing demands
- A true team player â willing and able to assist with whatever is needed on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree
- PMP Certification
- SAP Distribution experience
- Warehouse automation, Intelligent Conveyor Systems, and Picking Processes.
