Summary –
DCU’s Pricing Manager will provide analysis and insight for the company’s commercial strategy while also driving the development and execution of the company’s pricing strategy. Will generate pricing and other data-driven recommendations by effectively utilizing diverse pricing, financial modeling strategies, and tactics. The Pricing Manager will lead and advance pricing initiatives, perform competitive pricing analysis and lead/support other strategic initiatives with innovation and creativity. Will serve as a partner to help sales and product marketing teams to develop strategy, creative pricing solutions, and value-driven talking points to guide product and revenue growth.
Position located at our headquarters in Ben Wheeler, Texas.
Duties and Responsibilities –
- Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation and take necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability and ensure accuracy of product pricing.
- Assist with pricing negotiations of customers’ proposals.
- Prepare strategic BAFO (Best and Final Offers).
- Conduct industry research, market analysis, and present relevant analytics to maintain our competitive advantage.
- Maintain and regularly update a pricing history database.
- Perform financial evaluation to assess pricing action effectiveness.
- Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing system.
- Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market conditions.
- Collaborate with purchasing, marketing, and sales departments to ensure integrated profit maximizing approaches.
- Analyze financial impact of price approach in view of overall history as well as profitability of customer(s).
Skills and Abilities –
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in marketing and pricing initiatives, including performing and interpreting quantitative research.
- Background in manufacturing preferred with additional consideration given for door industry experience.
- Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Nav preferred.
- Strong Business acumen and negotiation skills; Experience with business intelligence and analytics software.
- Innovative and value seeking thinker.
- Combines design philosophy and analytics to conceptualize financial goals and results. organizational leadership, and proficiency in oral and written communications.
- Project management, organizational leadership, and proficiency in oral and written communications.
- Ability to navigate and lead change management.
