About This Career Opportunity
The Plant Operations Director:
- Is responsible for the oversight and management of security services, maintenance and grounds, as well as capital improvements at the Community.
- Ensures a safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors with a high focus on customer satisfaction.
- Provides management, technical expertise, life safety reviews and quality assurance programs.
- Ensures regulatory compliance related to the physical plant maintenance and appearance.
Are You Qualified?
Here’s what you need:
- Six years or more of related experience in facilities management, construction, engineering, property management and maintenance, with at least 3 years in health care or retirement community environment.
- Advance level of knowledge of building codes, life safety, and Cal-OSHA requirements; journeyman level of knowledge of HVAC/boiler, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment; knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma required; some college courses preferred. Contractor’s license desirable but not required.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities, good verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well with others.
- Must have valid drivers license.
- Abilities necessary for safe completion of duties include good vision and good hearing; fully mobile on steps, ladders, etc.; sufficient mobility and dexterity of both arms (or mechanical substitutes) to safely operate hand and power tools, gauges, valves, etc.; able to stoop and lift 50 pound objects.
