Overview
The Business Unit Network Operations manages and supports all global network technologies. This includes global routing and switching networks, security products and global WAN, LAN, and MAN connectivity with various industry standard products and technologies. The Bank is moving towards Cloud, SDN and Cisco ACI Spine and Leaf technologies and you will be involved in the global roll out of these new technologies. Network Operations is not specifically aligned to a project, you will support all projects and Bank technology initiatives.

Your Role
What You’ll Do:
- You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) role for specific network issues with global responsibility, review current network standards with applicable stakeholders to ensure the standards are impacting the network positively, create gap analysis’ based on operational input on current network performance standards
- You will review current monitoring and reporting systems and make recommendations to optimize event management and performance management software. Review best practice designs with vendors and ensure common practices are being implemented in the Deutsche Bank network
- You will lead L3 Network Operations Engineer acts as an internal training resource to tier 2/3 operations engineers
- You will provide software analysis for network devices and network security devices to minimize network disruptions due to bugs and security vulnerabilities
- You will review current monitoring and reporting systems and make recommendations to optimize event management and performance management software. Provides trend analysis for vendor escalation services (TAC, JTAC, Checkpoint, McAfee)
Skills You’ll Need:
- Experience with configuration and support of Cisco (IOS, NxOS and ACI), Checkpoint, F5, Juniper and McAfee. Proven ability to work across countries, time zones and cultures in a large global organization
- Experience with network and security operations and engineering. Expert level experience troubleshooting TCP/IP at a packet level. In-depth and hands on experience in complex LAN/WAN, MAN, DWDM, SONET architecture and troubleshooting
- In-depth and hands on experience in complex LAN/WAN, MAN, DWDM, SONET architecture and troubleshooting
- In-depth understanding of operational and troubleshooting knowledge of trunking protocols – VTP-8021.Q etc
- In-depth working knowledge and troubleshooting of IP routing and network protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, spanning tree, multicast etc.)
