Position: Jr. Project Manager

Responsibilities and Duties
Project Management:
- Plan, document, manage, and successfully complete complex projects (typically with significant business, technical, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies)
- Select methods and tools, using iterative techniques where appropriate, ensuring that effective project control, change control, risk management, and testing processes are maintained
- Monitor and control resources, revenue, and capital costs against the project budget and manage expectations of all project stakeholders
- Leading the project team across multiple cross functional business areas along with cross functional teams within the business community and IT.
- Bachelorâs degree or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
- Experience in design, development, and implementation of high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major internet-oriented applications and systems
- Experience managing technical projects and working with technology project management methodologies. (e.g. waterfall, agile, iterative) in a retail environment
- Experience running multiple technology projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of and competency in project management processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, issues management, time management, and financial management
¡ Understanding of appropriate technology platforms and retail systems
Qualifications and Skills
The Project Manager has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing technology projects, identifying key resources and providing the direction they require in order to meet project objectives. Utilizes necessary resources and skills to deliver the project within agreed cost, schedule, and quality parameters. Drives the project planning, project monitoring and control, relationship management, and providing advice and guidance. The IT Project Manager is the lead point of contact for the project.
Project Planning
- Organizes the work into manageable work packages or phases and determines an effective approach to completing the work
- Develops estimates for effort, budget, and schedule
- Develops a project plan that documents clear priorities among project activities
- Communicates a clear vision of projectâs objectives and motivates the project team to achieve them
- Develops a project charter and other key project deliverables as necessary
- Assigns tasks and duties to others working on the project

- Effectively coordinates the activities of the team to meet project milestones
- Analyzes actual performance against the plan and makes adjustments consistent with plan objectives
- Provides tracking and reporting of progress to plan regarding schedule
- Reassigns and delegates tasks as the project moves forward
- Actively manages budget tracking and earned value progress
- Proactively manages change to baselined scope, schedule, and cost variables, communicating impacts and facilitating decisions
- Resolves issues that impact the project in a timely, effective manner
- Analyzes risks, establishes contingency plans, and identifies trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action
- Acts as primary escalator of project risks and issues to project stakeholders
- Follows and enforces consistent project delivery standards, processes, and tool utilization standards
- * Relationship Management: *
- Manages vendor relations and procurement related to the project requirements
- Manages relationships with project stakeholders
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to stakeholders and teams
- Responsible for communicating and distributing information to senior level executives
- Advice and Guidance:
- Mentors team members and external stakeholders, regarding project management best practices
- Advising team members on their deliverables
- Participates in vendor selection and negotiation process to assist in project planning and risk identification
- Resourcing:
- Allocates responsibilities and/or packages of work
- Relationship Management:
- Build long-term, strategic relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders
- Act as a point of contact and facilitate access to subject experts
- Communicate to senior levels on technical, Shared Services, and 3rd-party issues
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
