The Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services IT Department is seeking a Jr. Project Manager to provide Project Management support to the IT department. The primary focus will be a project implementation of a Scheduling software for our EHR application.

JR IT Project Manager (EHR Scheduling Implementation) ($35.00 / hr+, DOE)
The Jr IT Business Project Manager will help evaluate, design, monitor and manage the implementation of Scheduling application for an Electronic Health Record system. The Jr Project Manager will ensure that business process outcomes are in harmony with the organizationâs strategic goals. The ideal candidate will also focus on the entire process from beginning to end, introducing innovation into the process that can impact results, enhance revenue and assist the organization to meet our business objectives and goals. Other projects will be assigned.
TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing and developing the CG Scheduling software.
- Provide assistance with department workflow and user needs utilizing knowledge and experience with financial solutions
- Ability to undertake large projects with a focus on the entire process including compliance requirements.
- Perform job duties in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Experience in managing projects (i.e. mapping, software/process flow, system linkages, etc.) primarily using commercial off-the shelf solutions, both hosted and resident.
- Experience with Microsoft Access is highly desirable.
- Knowledgeable in SQL, structures of databases and programming languages such as Python, .NET is desirable but not required.
- Provides assistance with business, and user needs utilizing knowledge and experience with financial solutions.
- Works with resources to ensure that system enhancements follow the appropriate IT guidelines, meet or exceed user requirements and are completed in a timely fashion.
- Effectively manage change requests or requests for enhancements.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere with a culture of respect for others.
- Assist in troubleshooting post implementation issues for large/complex projects.
OTHER JOB DUTIES:
- Coordinate and assist user acceptance test, including reporting and documenting defects.
- Ability to identify failure in process and address with IT and the business.
- Assists in the development and implementation of quality improvement of processes for IT department and the partnering departments.
- Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred candidate will possess 1 year of experience in Process/Project Management (required) and a 2 or 4 year degree (desirable) in an IT related field (MIS, computer sciences, IT, engineering)
