Title: Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain
Location: Redmond, Washington
Duration: Long Term contract
Education: Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow for successful performance of job expectations.

Description:
The Head of Manufacturing & Supply Chain is responsible for planning, setting up and managing the client’s propulsion system manufacturing capabilities and associated supply chain, sourcing and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and setup manufacturing and assembly capabilities taking into account short- and long-term goals.
- Ongoing leadership of the client’s supply chain.
- Establish and maintain a safe operating environment.
- Ensure compliance with all quality requirements including maintaining AS9100.
- As appropriate and applicable, implement LEAN manufacturing strategies, policies, and procedures to meet operating objectives.
- Provide leadership to material planning and purchasing to meet program objectives of quality, schedule and cost.
- Drive continual improvement in manufacturing and supply chain.
- Be responsible for strategic sourcing, tactical supply chain operations, and supplier quality and supplier development.
- Lead financial performance through efficient use of resources, inventory management/reduction, favourable payment terms, etc.
Skills:
- 10 years of Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership experience in relevant fields such as aviation or electric motors. 5+ years of leadership experience in this field.
- Experience in low volume high quality Build, Development and Qualification projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Quality requirements and procedures in Aerospace.
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
