Location: Midland, TX
As part of the Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) team, this position is responsible for coordinating equipment inspections and monitoring compliance with company safety programs in support of the companyâs crude oil trucking operations.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Promote a conscious environment of safety through fleet inspections, documentation, and coaching
- Ensure field compliance with EH&S programs including Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Occupational Safety and Health Regulations (OSHA), Hours of Service, Driver Qualification documentation, Motor Vehicle Reports, Drug and Alcohol testing, and Carrier Safety Administration reporting
- Assist with incident investigations to ensure thorough documentation and resolution
- Review and support internal and external audits, including follow-up of corrective actions
- Assist with ad-hoc projects
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
Position will require at least 65% travel across West Oklahoma, West Texas, and East New Mexico
Preferred Candidate Requirements include:
- Bachelorâs degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years direct safety and industry experience
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations
- Fluency in speaking Spanish a plus
- Customer service focused
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Outstanding organization and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated good judgment, attention to detail, and analytical thinking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
