As Director, OTT/Streaming Video Product Management, you will lead the development of a next-generation video ad server that leverages the latest innovations in edge computing and CDN design. The product manager will be tasked with delivering technologies that insert over-the-top (OTT) video ads into premium environments while ensuring a high-quality consumer experience. The ad server will connect directly with publishers to monetize content and will be integrated with the existing Simulmedia platform to deliver performance-optimized campaigns for advertisers across OTT and linear.
Your Role:
- Drive and communicate the OTT video ad server roadmap and product strategy (availability, performance, and security/privacy/compliance features) based on strategic objectives, market conditions, and customer needs.
- Work closely with product teams to drive the integration of the ad server into the Simulmedia platform.
- Lead requirements gathering efforts and regularly communicate product status to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate on a daily basis with members of the product and technical architecture teams.
- Execute product launches and go-to-market in conjunction with Product Marketing.
- Establish processes to help maintain and manage ad serving technologies.
- Identify operational issues in conjunction with other departments and develop and implement plans to address them.
- Represent the customer. Be the champion and voice of customers.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years Product Management experience including Video and OTT Ad fulfillment, launching cloud-based offerings, and direct experience with Dynamic Ad Insertion software
- Understanding of streaming video infrastructure, OTT video, and how video gets from an origin to the edge and on to devices
- Understanding of the advertising ecosystem backend and how ads are fulfilled in the targeted delivery/fulfillment side of things
- Strong technical background – someone who can work directly with very technical teams and understand advanced technical concepts as it relates to cloud-technologies, edge computing, CDNs, DAI, etc.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills and a successful track record of establishing strategic direction, supported by sound operational decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and launch a new product
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
