Designs, installs, and maintains networking within the District.

Administers all telecommunications VOIP and ITV video related needs for the District.

Creates computer accounts in Google, Windows Active Directory, and Infinite Campus.

Provides lead worker coordination to the Technology Assistant.

Administers, maintains, and monitors district email systems and servers.

Determines the need for new technology devices for staff and students as well as network equipment and E-Rate.

Provides technical support and assistance to staff and students troubleshooting hardware and software problems and issues with their devices.

Installs and configures student, school owned and school servers for student testing including MCA’s and WIDA.

Serves on the District’s Technology Committee in formulating and developing strategic and long range plans for technology infrastructure and plans.

Oversees the purchasing of technology equipment, hardware, software in accordance with the approved budget and district procedures.

Provides technical support and assistance to the performing arts theatre.

The Albany Area School District is accepting applications for a Director of Technology- Network Specialist.

DESCRIPTION:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a minimum of Associate’s Degree in Network Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field and 3 years network administration and information technology experience; and/or evidence of eqivalent education and experience necessary to perform the requirements of the job. Requires a valid MN driver’s license.

POSITION START DATE – ASAP (this is a full-time, 12-month position)
SALARY RANGE – $55,000-$65,000
RESPONSIBLE TO – Superintendent of Schools
