Position Overview:
MSCI ESG Research is seeking to hire a Vice President to join our Corporate Governance team, which is responsible for providing clients with actionable content on corporate governance and contributing innovative insights into the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) ratings framework.
- Regularly publish quality research content and analyze emerging corporate governance issues facing investors in the US
- Deliver relevant, actionable insights on companies to investors, and become a trusted go-to expert on local governance topics
- Represent MSCI as a credible thought leader with strong point of view at conferences, external events and strategic client meetings
- Collaborate with a wide range of teams (industry analysts, equity research, multi-asset class research, index, analytics) to produce innovative analytical models
- Continuously improve how we think, how we model governance risks, and how we develop solutions for investors globally
- A storyteller with excellent writing, communication, and public presenting skills
- A critical thinker with attention to detail and the ability to work with large data sets
- A team player who can collaborate across a diverse global team
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Ambitious, with a desire to bring ESG into the mainstream investment process
- A demonstrated interest and specific knowledge around corporate governance practices in the US
- 3 – 5 years professional experience in a related field (investment research, corporate engagement, consulting, proxy research / advisory, policy research)
- A Bachelors’ degree (required), an advanced degree (Masters or PhD) or relevant industry accreditation (preferred)
