Your Role
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of business areas, its products, and supporting functions
- Execute audit testing and co-ordinate with team members to ensure audit fieldwork is focused on the right areas and documentation meets high quality standards
- Identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environment
- Prepare commercially effective audit conclusions and findings, and present to GA senior management and business clients
- Follow-up on open audit findings and their resolution
- Participate in department-wide initiatives aimed at continually improving GA’s processes and supporting infrastructure
Skills You’ll Need:
- Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, pro-active, self-sufficient and innovative with strong organizational skills, independent in judgment with the ability to challenge and be challenged whilst maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, resilient under pressure and able to deliver to deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, solid analytical skills
- Experience in (i) a professional or internal audit role within the financial services / banking industry or (ii) a related control function, knowledge of Compliance, Regulatory Risk and / or Conduct Risk management functions within a financial / banking institution or other organization operating in the financial services / banking industry including: Government & Regulatory Affairs; Corporate Governance; Operational Risk Management
- Bachelor’s degree
Skills That Will Help You Excel:
- Understanding of financial concepts and / or operations related to corporate and investment banking, asset & wealth management, private and retail banking
- Knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations supervised by the following agencies: Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC); Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC); Federal Reserve System (Fed); Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC); Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN); Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA); Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC); Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB); National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC); National Futures Association (NFAbackground example, i.e. certifications
- Relevant certification or industry accreditation (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIA, NASD Series)
- Master’s degree
