Located on a 94-acre working horse farm in Ellenboro, NC, Foothills at Red Oak Recovery serves 14-17-year-old male adolescents and their families. We are seeking a Clinical Director to assist in the development and operation of the clinical treatment program to ensure every clientâs individual needs are met through our evidence-based clinical practices. This focused clinical approach includes individual therapy, group therapy, milieu therapy, family therapy, equine therapy and recreation therapy. In addition to traditional group and individual therapy, therapists at Foothills at Red Oak Recovery facilitate therapy utilizing numerous experiential interventions.
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director also provides clinical supervision to all clinical staff responsible for delivering services to individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring conditions.

Role and Responsibilities:
Facilitate direct supervision of the clinical treatment program for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Provide training of staff in delivery of services for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Provide direct support of clinical staff (primary therapist, milieu therapist, direct care staff)
- Provide staff with supervision in the cultivation of therapeutic relationships with clients, families, and referring professionals
- Assist with the assessment of clients and develop individualized treatment goals, using client input, and client strengths, abilities, needs and preferences
- Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions to assist clients in overcoming challenges
- Provide input to modifying and enhancing the clinical services
- Provide and schedule clinical training for Foothills at Red Oak staff, including the utilization of the clinical team to provide training to staff based on their expertise
- Continuously advocate for the highest standard of comprehensive, ethical clinical care
- Work in collaboration with other professionals as part of a treatment team; including operations and program directors to ensure comprehensive communication throughout all departments
- Work with compliance department to ensure clinical staff is current with all license and certifications
- Work with operations and compliance departments to ensure documentation of clinical services is complete and accurate.
- Other related tasks and duties as directed by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Masterâs degree in Human Service field
- LCSW, LPC, or LCAS
- One year of experience supervising clinical staff
- Experience in supervision of daily clinical operations of inpatient treatment of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Dual licensed in both addiction and mental health treatment (or willing to seek both)
- Experience working with young adults in an eco-therapeutic setting
- 3 or more years experience supervising master level clinicians and bachelor level substance abuse counselors
- Willing to pursue requirements for full licensure within 75 days of start date
