Clinical Director

Job Title: DMHCA (Clinical Director) (Full-time)

Program: Department of Juvenile Justice

Licensed Clinician needed to provide mental health services in the St. Lucie – Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Center. Mental health staff provide assessment, treatment and crisis response services to children in the detention centers.

Duties include:

• Conducting mental health assessments upon intake to the detention center

• Conducting treatment team meetings

• Provides training to detention staff on mental health issues and works collaboratively with staff to assure treatment needs are being met

• Maintains documentation of services provided

• Conducts crisis assessments when required

• Conducts quality assurance activities to assure compliance with regulations

Educational and Experience Requirements – Master’s degree required in a Human Service discipline from four-year accredited college or university and experience working with children/adolescents in a therapeutic treatment environment and in compliance with State or contractual requirements. Must also be Licensed in the State of Florida.

This position work non-traditional hours and weekends and holidays; flexible hours required.
