Position Summary:

The Director of Business Development and Networks is a member of the Leadership Team. This position works collaboratively with the CFO and members of the executive team to plan and implement strategic sales initiatives. The position also focuses on establishing relationships to retain existing members and recruit new members; as well as expand member participation and utilization of company programs, services and member networks.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a member of the Leadership Team.
  • Primary responsibility to collaborate with departments and business teams to select, evaluate, and create opportunities for growth in the market.
  • Responsible for new business development and member services.
  • Assist executive leadership with planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Create and maintain customer relationships. Reporting on the weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance of sales within the organization.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of company products as well as competing products.
  • Facilitates and maintains Phoenix and other relationships with key strategic business partners
  • Oversees the formation of business partnerships and the development and management of regional contacts.

  • Develops and delivers reports and presentations to support and promote regional performance improvement activities.

  • Maintains current knowledge on key healthcare issues, regulations, guidelines and works with the Process and Improvement Team and Member Networks to assist with solutions for our membership.

Experience and Skills

Education and/or Experience, Skills and Abilities

Minimum education required:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum experience required:

  • A minimum of 10 years of senior-level relationship management and executive leadership experience.
  • Track record in building strong business relationships.
  • 5-10 years in a Sales related role. (within a healthcare industry preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong teamwork, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Requires ability to travel 50-70%
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task and prioritize.
