Overview

As an algorithmic trader you will be responsible for the overall operation and management of our electronic execution platform. You will work closely with our client coverage, quantitative research and analytics team to implement change within our platform driving client relationships and the overall product direction. You will be the first point of contact for functional questions on the algorithms, able to field and research questions on our algorithmic behavior. As an expert on electronic trading you will help drive new features in our algorithmic and smart order routing product, working to improve performance and increase client revenue.

Your Role

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the day to day client configuration changes for the algorithms and smart order router
  • Troubleshoot and consult on algorithmic and smart order router issues or questions
  • Work with trading teams to gather change and/or enhancement requirements
  • Review and analyze trade results and suggest configurations to enhance performance

How You’ll Lead:

  • You will be the first point of contact for functional questions on the algorithms, able to field and research questions on our algorithmic behavior
  • Responsible for the quantitative data that drives the algorithms behavior
  • Client configuration and customization: Responsible for implementing and tracking all client changes
  • Responsible for triaging outages and issues with the development and support. You will sit in the middle of any problem providing the appropriate communication to impacted areas and making decisions around resolution
  • As the practitioners of the EE technology also will be responsible for proposing changes to the systems used for monitoring and interacting with them

Skills You’ll Need:

  • Experience in electronic equities or related business
  • Computer Science, Math or related Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree beneficial
  • Extensive understanding of client trading objectives and optimization
  • Series 7, 53, 63

Skills That Will Help You Excel:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Experience presenting one on one and in groups
  • Background in Java, C++, and q (kdb+)
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and self-directed
  • Extreme attention to detail
