Vice President of Accounting Services

This position is responsible for providing information and support to a set of properties and ensuring the production of timely and accurate financial statements. The VP of Accounting Services is responsible for Dellisart month end closings, financial reporting, consolidations, budgets, and forecasting. This role reports to the President / CEO of Dellisart and will work closely with the senior management team and external auditors, as well as provide financial training and development for property leaders.

Job Functions • Manage the activities of the Shared Services group to ensure accurate financial information and appropriate support is provided to the property management teams. • Oversee the Shared Services accounting and internal control functions, which include, but are not limited to, transactions associated with cash, accounts receivable, payroll, and benefits. • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, and ensures balances are supported by appropriate documentation. • Communicates financial concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand and drives desired behaviors. • Attends critique meetings to review information with management team. • Ensures tax rates used for sales/use tax are current and proper amounts are collected and/or accrued. Documents tax exempt transactions, with collaboration from property teams. • Coordinate the management of general ledger maintenance and related reporting to ensure proper financial statement mapping and presentation. • Assist in the review of cash positions for each property and ensure timely communicate of issues to management team. • Process Accounts Payable for property entities to ensure all payments are timely and available discounts are taken advantage of. • Assist property management team, with the assistance of the Dellisart operations leaders, in the establishment, coordination and administration of internal control procedures/policies. • Assist with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely and accurate responses to information requests. • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers. • Ensure compliance and satisfaction of all government, company, franchise and ownership requirements throughout job performance. • Practice safe work habits. • Perform other duties as requested by management. Job Requirements

Position Requirements • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or Finance, plus seven (7) years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience. • A minimum of 7 years of hotel property-level experience as an Assistant Controller, Assistant Director of Finance & Accounting, including a minimum of three (3) years as Director of Finance/Controller. • Prior experience working in a centralized accounting department that supports multiple units/sites is preferred. • Prior experience working with M3 Accounting Core.
