TITLE: Vice President, Finance and Administration
The Primary Purpose of the Position
The Vice President of Finance and Administration reports to the CEO, and must be highly ethical and have experience in healthcare organization financial management and demonstrated accounting skills. This position requires competency in financial system configuration and development, financial strategy development, capital financing, and investment. Must be prepared to assist with development of policies, procedures, and systems for a start-up organization. The scope of this position includes:
- Developing processes for managing the company expenditures, financial accounts, and accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Budget planning and expenditure and revenue forecasting,
- Setting up payroll and financial and accounting software including establishing a chart of accounts,
- Manages company bank services, bank accounts and capital investment portfolio,
- Modeling and forecasting value-based payment revenue and provider network capitation payments,
- Performs cost analysis, and
- Provides and presents financial reports and income statements to the company Board.

Essential Functions
Responsibilities:
- Prepares company budget, including annual budget, mid-year budget amendments, and budget forecasts and monitors expenditures against budget.
- Develops and executes processes for allocation of budgeted funds and operational revenues.
- Prepares, reviews, and provides expert analysis of actual financial results and financial risks in relationship to planned and long-range objectives.
- Evaluates medical cost trends, analyzes trends as compared to projections.
- Prepares and provides forecasts of the companyâs value-based payment performance results, including modeling and projecting revenue from value-based payment from health plan payers
- Provides financial forecast of company expenditures and operating revenues.
- Develops and oversees financial policies, financial procedures, and accounting practices.
- Develops and implements internal review procedures and processes of expenditures for compliance to company policies.
- Plans, configures, and implements financial and accounting software and systems including organizing company accounts and disseminates monthly and quarterly expenditure variation reports.
- Participates in the development of the companyâs financial and business strategies.
- Oversee company payroll contractor and employee benefits cost.
- Is responsible for developing strategies for the companyâs capital financing and capital investment.
- Oversees compliance with GAAP accounting manages financial databases according to IRS laws and company financial policies.
- Assure the proper recording and preparation of expense information necessary for quarterly and year-end financial statements and IRS tax preparation.
- Develops and manages all financial records keeping process.
- Prepares financial reports, balance sheet, and present to the Board of Director on the financial performance of the company, including summarizing critical information in actionable form for CEO and the company Board of Directors.
- As necessary, evaluates and take action on internal and external audit recommendations.
Works with CEO on business plans and strategies.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an institution of higher learning in accounting, finance or related field.
- License/Certification/Designation: CPA preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible in healthcare organization financial management, with a combination of finance, accounting, budget forecasting and projections, payroll, revenue management, or administrative work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and v-lookup function and statistical financial software.

Salary: $105,000.00 to $125,000.00 /year
