    • Oversee the preparation of design plans, specifications, and quantities
    • Experience in the design of highways and local streets and must be familiar with IDOT design standards
    • Manage contract deliverables on time and within budget
    • Assist with the preparation of proposals and contracts
    • Ensure quality control activities are performed for all assigned work and back check work of others
    • Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies
    • Manage and direct interaction between multiple offices

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
    • Illinois PE license preferred
    • 10+ years of experience in highway engineering design
    • Familiarity with Illinois Department of Transportation engineering practices, standards and documentation
    • Good decision making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work independently on project design tasks.
    • Experience with Geopak, Microstation, and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point)
