Strategic Security Solutions has been installing and servicing commercial, industrial, and institutional security systems since 2002. We are based in Raleigh but perform projects worldwide. Strategic Security Solutions has grown to be one of the larger privately owned and most respected security system integrators in the Southeast, but we require additional high caliber people to continue our growth.

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Services Manager who will have responsibility for the management of all S3 internal systems and providing advanced programming and customization of customer systems by utilization of API’s or other means necessary. Typical responsibilities of this position are:

  • Manages support of all internal systems to insure maximum availability and optimal performance.
  • Develops operating systems configurations.
  • Conducts software/hardware installation.
  • Establishes troubleshooting, diagnostic procedures.
  • Supports documentation and performance/capacity reporting.
  • Manages and maintains the enterprise network.
  • Customization and development of dashboards and custom reports within the enterprise ERP platform.
  • Acts as a resource for technical guidance and procedural questions from the S3 branch staff, vendors or clients as required.
  • Develops or oversees the development of system customizations by utilization of REST API’s.
  • Develops custom reporting as required to fulfil customer requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Provides/manages 24X7 technical support for production applications and for network infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the company infrastructure requirements for the TSG, and managed services.
  • Conducts research and analysis of new products and technologies.
  • Assists in negotiations for vendor hardware and software contracts.
  • Directs staff from the technical services group (TSG) in development of project plans, maintenance plans on company infrastructure, and resource allocation for technical support to the branch offices and managed services group.
  • Prepares and monitors capital and expense budgets for the TSG.

Requirements

o Bachelors Degree Engineering or Computer Science and two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

o Minimum of 5 years experience managing networks.

o Minimum of 5 years experience managing Windows servers and desktops.

o Minimum 3 years experience in managing and motivating technical personnel.

o Experience in SQL to include scripting, statements, and queries.

o Ability to understand and utilize REST API’s
