The TANF Project Manager manages multiple projects for the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation (OSPF), which includes the planning, implementation and evaluation of special projects administered by OSPF and funded by Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) fund. TANF focuses on the programming and case management of suicide prevention for children whose families fall below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. In addition, the TANF Special Projects Manager will be responsible for maintaining records for all TANF-funded projects and for reporting to the funder of the TANF grant. The Special Projects Manager will also work closely with the Executive Director and other OSPF staff to maximize opportunities for OSPF partners, including coalitions, local Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Boards, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other state and local entities, to access the project for fullest implementation.
Candidates must possess a Bachelorâs degree in a public administration related field. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are necessary as well as an ability to work in a deadline-driven environment. The candidate must also be competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience with a TANF program a plus.
