The Position
The Supply Chain Manger is responsible for overseeing and managing Lume. Cannabis Co. overall supply chain strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. In addition, the Supply Chain Manager plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.
- Manage and direct purchasing for all who are authorized to commit funds for the company
- Responsible for all employees involved in purchasing activities to maintain and promote an ethical approach to doing business with Lume. Cannabis Co.
- Establish procedures and policies relating to the purchasing of all goods and services for the company
- Make the final determination of the source of supply, quantities purchased, delivery schedule and price negotiation
- Ensure that the coordination of all purchases of goods and supplies are made in conjunction with operations, sales and cultivation, as appropriate
- Ensure all purchasing decisions are made within ethical guidelines of Lume. Cannabis Co.
- Conduct data analysis to improve supply chain operations, focused on increased efficiency and reduced costs
- Solicit pricing and place orders for goods and services for the company
- Initiate and maintain effective and professional relationships with all suppliers, both actual and potential
- Approve all vendor selection and products purchased meets the needs, policies and standard practices of the company
- Approve, correct and code invoice payables to accounting after verification of receivables
- Ensure the purchase of all goods and services at the lowest total price considering the guidelines of price, service, quality and delivery
- Ensure the quality/kind of material requested meets Lume. Cannabis Co. standards
- Responsible for obligating the company for the purchase of all goods and services
- Verify that project spending is compliant with the as-sold budget and report out status and/or discrepancies
- Oversee inventory procedures
- Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules
- Evaluate vendor operations (e.g. freight forwarders) according to quality standards
The Qualifications
- Must have prior experience with ERP Systems -SAP Business One preferred
- Must have prior experience as Supply Chain Manager
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, management or supply chain
- 10 years experience as a Supply Chain Manager, Buyer, Purchasing
- Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with supply chain processes (Ex. Purchasing, inventory planning, warehouse management)
- Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills and an analytical mind
