Job Description

Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa is looking for a full-time Spa Manager who is responsible for the daily activities of the Spa. This position will report directly to the Spa/Merchandise Director and will oversee 2 salaried guest service managers and over 75 hourly spa employees. As Spa Manager responsibilities include – standardize policies and procedures, manage program budgets, implement and improve current program marketing and manage inventory for back bar and retail. Must also be able to maintain the highest possible standards of preparedness in order to provide the friendliest, most accommodating first impression in exceeding the guests and cast expectations. Previous managerial experience is essential particularly in the areas of resort spa operations and financial/business management. In addition, the ability to think on your feet, problem solve and display initiative are essential to the success of this role as is the ability to work independently and manage the work of others in a timely way.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: •Minimum of 3-7 years of Spa management experience in a leadership role, managing salaried leaders and hourly Spa therapists, Spa Attendants, Spa Host Hostess, Fitness Instructors and Salon providers. •In-depth knowledge of Spa Operations to include Health, Fitness, Wellness or related fields. •University degree or practical experience in lieu. Desired Qualifications: •Degree, preferably in a relevant field, which will assist the candidate in job function (Hotel/spa management) •Extensive resort spa and hospitality experience. •Strong customer service orientation and skills. •Strong budgetary, projections, and cost control skills. •Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. •Excellent time management organization skills •Professional work experience in local market. Responsibilities: •Thorough understanding of HR requirements and regulatory agency requirements. •Manage all spa revenue centers. •Instill a guest service attitude in all spa cast members. •Create, Develop, Market through Sales and Marketing Department, spa programs for groups. •Maintain a good working relationship with guests, groups, personnel from other departments and senior management. •Create courteous, friendly, professional work environment. •Ability to sell concepts and ideas to management, peers, and employees. •Demonstrate team building experience.
