Scrum Master

Our large Financial Industry client in Columbia, SC is in search of a Scrum Master to add to their team in a long-term contract capacity. This position develops and maintains an expert level of understanding of Scrum and Agile Project Management practices and ensure Agile principles and Scrum practices are followed. Protects the team from interferences and help provide leadership external to the team to protect the team’s interests and priorities.

An effective Scrum master understands team dynamics and how to engage the TSO, BSO, and PMO Director to make sure the right people are on the team and are performing at an acceptable level.

An effective Scrum master uses expert judgment and discernment to ask ‘Why’ questions in an effective way to guide and challenge people on ideas, concepts, and estimates.

What you bring to the table:

• 8+ years of in depth experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban principles
• Excellent communication skills & the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to team & management
• Exceptional focus on customer service, demonstrating a positive influence on cross-team working relationships
• Proven ability to continually build job knowledge & skills
• Ability to influence others & lead by example
• Ability to manage competing demands with exceptional organizational skills
