SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This is a non-union, supervisory position responsible for coordinating all Fleet activities within a specific area of INTRENâs operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work with Regional Vice President/Directors to develop annual fleet budget, which includes analysis for replacement, growth needs, and disposals based on operating forecast.

Work with Corporate Fleet Director to optimize buying (lease and own) and rental strategy.

Maintain existing local supplier relationships and develop new local supplier relationships, which includes negotiating pricing agreements and outlining up fitting requirements.

Work directly with regional operations to oversee the day to day operations of all inventory/fleet asset locations and logistics.

Work with Corporate Fleet Team to dispose equipment through the use of auctions and direct sales.

Establish and monitor analytical tools and KPI’s to benchmark planning & logistics performance and to identify opportunities for improvement.

Implement preventative maintenance processes designed by corporate team and participate in the development of new procedures to ensure performance of fleet inventory is efficient and within budget.

Manage the fleet services emergency response in support of storm and other emergency recovery efforts.

Continually evaluate the benefits of self-performed vs. outsourced maintenance and repairs.

Provide leadership and direct supervision of all regional fleet and maintenance personnel, which includes assessing talent and providing ongoing coaching and development and performance management.

Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and organizational policies and procedures.

Lead, direct, and assign union and non-union employees in the completion of their responsibilities.

Manage equipment drivers, third-party transportation services, and equipment deliveries within supported regions.

Support Regional Director of Operations with real estate search, negotiation, contracting when necessary.

Work with estimators on current pricing for materials needed for bids.

Any other tasks assigned by supervisory personnel.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five years of Utility Fleet/Supply Chain related experience highly preferred.
- Customer service background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of current trends and technological developments pertaining to vehicle operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of applicable Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Excellent computer skills in most Microsoft programs including Word and Excel.
- Must be highly organized, able to handle multiple tasks, and meet varying deadlines.
