Overview:[
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from start to finish from the field; responsible for the installation crews within the PM’s territory; developing strong, working relationships with job superintendents.
]Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains an efficient installation schedule for his/her assigned territory that best satisfies all customer installation demands and balances needs with other territories in the region
- Supervises installation crews and follows company installation fundamentals – Safety, quality, scheduling, communication and housekeeping.
- Responds to customers’ needs providing timely feedback regarding all scheduling and related issues
- Assists in developing and implementing companywide installation procedures and best practices as directed by the Installation Manager
- Implements tight procedures and accountability regarding day-to-day operating procedures such as job-site inspections, communication follow-up with customers, pay policies for installation crews, absolute safety standards, back-charges and fines from employee and subcontractor crews for poor performance.
- Builds strong relationships with customer Superintendents and project managers and trains them on products and services to better facilitate the delivery of our turn-key service
- Provides oversight of field measurements and verifies installation of product in accordance with work-order specifications.
- Handles customer issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner that protects the interests of the company and also best satisfies the customer
- Interfaces with manufacturing for the purposes of production scheduling, product quality issues, new product ideas, and purchasing of installation materials
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
- Responsible for material warehousing and distribution to install crews.
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years industry experience in Construction Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Previous experience with stone veneer or masonry highly desired.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication and the ability to work with others in a team environment required.
- Proficient with Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations, e-mail and the internet required;
- Prior experience with ERP/MRP and Sales software preferred;
- Previous OSHA training preferred:
- Prior experience working in and around construction sites and safety requirements/equipment preferred;
- Ability to travel throughout assigned territory with occasional overnight travel required.
