Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of our Transportation and Maintenance Departments. Direct, plan, manage and coordinate transportation, maintenance and customer service activities. Develop and maintain a clear strategy to support organization growth. The position will report directly to ownership, have decision making authority, and will be part of the companyâs Executive Committee with input to decision making in strategic and tactical matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Supervise a team of eight operations personnel, including selection, training, performance review and discipline
- Monitor KPIâs, lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor, recommend and document policies and procedures
- Perform McLeod Super user tasks and training
- Manage relationships with mobile communications vendors
- Recommend operations technology improvements and upgrades
- Maintain legal and regulatory compliance, monitor CSA scores
- Oversee maintenance functions, including communication and cost containment
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Logistics/ Business and/or three plus years of relevant experience
- Current DOT knowledge including hours of service
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Goal oriented, able to work under pressure, prioritize and multitask
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
