House Managers are responsible for the smooth running of their assigned unit. House Managers must be able to supervise and manage a team of employees as well as residents assigned to the home.
Job Description:
- Serve as a positive role model for residents and staff.
- Provide oversight and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the assigned house by taking the lead role and full responsibility for overall program to encourage participation of the residents, adjusting as needed.
- Provide supervision of assigned staff members
- Coordinates and participates in the interviewing and hiring of new staff
- Schedules staff coverage through scheduling consistently and filling in when needed.
- Completes performance evaluations for all direct reports to include 90-day reviews and annual evaluations.
- Discipline and develop corrective action plan for staff when necessary.
- Oversight of facility needs (space, furnishing and equipment)
- Oversight of documentation to include but not limited to daily progress notes, movement log, communication log.
- Record accurate and complete information in resident record; ensure daily notes reflect coordination with progress towards treatment goals.
- Provide oversight of with documentation of the Medication Administration Record (MAR) with checks of the MAR at least once per week.
- Coordinate in-service trainings needed to assist staff in fulfilling responsibilities related to resident direct support.
- Contributes to the formulation and implementation of resident treatment plans.
- Coordinate resident medical care as needed with the case manager and/or program director.
- Participate and collaborate in treatment team meetings reporting on the resident treatment needs, goals and progress.
- Assist in the admission and discharge of residents.
- Generate incident reports when appropriate, and ensure timely, accurate completion by staff.
- Purchase food according to prepared menu and ensure that food and cleaning supplies are kept in adequate supply without over stocking.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelorâs degree in a human service field (social work, psychology, counseling, special education) is required
- At least one-year experience of supervisory experience
- Excellent communication skills; good organization skills; able to work independently with good problem-solving skills
- Must have valid driverâs license and clean driving record
- Must have QMHP-C or be QMHP-C eligible
This is a 40hr/week position with flexible hours to provide oversight of staff and facility. Combination of administrative hours, direct care hours, and weekend presence.
