The Director of Sales works closely with the Senior Director of Sales and CEO to set the sales strategy for our sales team and clients.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a self-starting professional with strong managerial experience and a proven track record in hotel sales. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with the ability to manage a high performing team of Area Sales Managers.

  • Maintain a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement by effectively leading and developing the sales team
  • Regularly monitor sales performance and provide effective coaching to implement improvements where and when required
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to keep Senior Director of Sales and CEO updated and apprised of progress and sales performance
  • Manage client expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Recommend and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Work closely with the Operations team to establish successful support and partner programs
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and develop key relationships

Responsibilities

  • 3-5 years of hotel Director of Sales experience
  • Success in leading a high performing sales team focused on revenue generation and increasing sales effectiveness.
  • A highly-respected hotel sales professional with significant Brand experience who will model the values of the Gillis team and continue to foster collaboration and trust throughout the team.
  • Experience leading a team of 10 + salespeople
  • Involvement in managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
  • Proficiency using data to manage a sales pipeline and ensure the team is shortening the sales cycle for our clients.
  • Expertise in hiring and onboarding sales associates
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership
