Beatty Water & Sanitation District
Beatty Water & Sanitation District (BWSD) located in Beatty, Nevada, is seeking a general manager to replace the current GM who is retiring January 1, 2020. The BWSD provides Water and Wastewater services to an unincorporated community of about 1,000 residents with an annual budget of about $700,000. The General Manager is hired by and reports directly to an elected five-member Board of Trustees to manage the day-to-day operations of the District while carrying out the policies and directives of the Board. The General Manager provides leadership, strategic vision and policy guidance for the district.

- have experience in budgeting, managing financial resources, personnel management, and resources planning.

- maintain cooperative working relationships with various public agencies and other groups, and intergovernmental and regulatory agencies.
Required qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelorâs Degree and five years of management/supervisory experience, in local government, is preferred. A Treatment 2, Distribution 2, and Wastewater I certification for the State of Nevada required at the time of hire. A background in economic development, finance, and community consensus building is desired. Or, any combination of education and experience which would likely provide the necessary knowledge and abilities.
