Estimator/Project Manager

We perform all types of civil construction such as earthwork, utilities, concrete flatwork, concrete structures for private and public clients. Types of projects we pursue include, Highways, Bridges, Dams, Large Subdivisions, Demolition, Challenging Utilities, Water Treatment Facilities. ESCO enjoys tackling a very diverse and challenging projects throughout Colorado and beyond.

Responsibilities and Duties

• General knowledge of project search databases.
• Attend pre bid meetings as required.
• Plan and specification reading.
• Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs in a timely manner.
• Solicit subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate their proposals.
• Prepare estimates in detail for all scopes of work.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates.
• Communicate with partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
• Ensure timely completion of estimates.
• Understand scope of work to bid.
• Manage bid pricing from all vendors and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparation of technical proposals.
• Prepare cost analysis of past projects and compare to current estimates.
• Must be able to work as a team and communicate well internally and externally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in construction estimating
• Engineering degree a plus but not required. Relative experience is acceptable.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid is a plus.
• Experience with takeoff software such as Bluebeam and AGTEK is a plus.
• Experience with Spectrum Accounting software a plus.
