Aramsco, a family of companies, is a leading solutions provider to specialty contractors across North America, serving numerous end markets including abatement, restoration, environmental, emergency preparedness, cleaning and surface preparation. The company has more than 60 locations through which it distributes products, equipment and chemicals, and provides customers with other value-added services including equipment repair, equipment rental and education.

We are currently looking for a full time District Manager for our Southern Florida Region who will be responsible for operational excellence and will create productive working atmospheres in our stores. The District Manager will lead employees and managers; monitoring operational flow to ensure the effective use of people and equipment on a daily basis. The District Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that marketing efforts are consistent across each store, managing a regional budget and ensuring that each store operates within the budget, among other duties.

The District Manager will direct overall sites and warehouse activities within our Southern Florida Region, reporting directly to the Regional Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of all site locations within region.
  • Supervising the efficient operations of the warehouse; communicate to employees on a daily basis on company information and team encouragement.
  • Collaborating in the development, implementation, and monitoring the standard operations procedures for warehousing and transportation.
  • Ensuring that equipment is in proper working condition and arrange service actions when needed.
  • Observing warehouse employee productivity and quality, and developing action plans designed to support and improve them.
  • Evaluating warehouse activities, projected volumes, customer base, and product mixes within the warehouse and determine personnel and equipment needs based on evaluation.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Providing guidance and direction to the site managers.
  • Ensures the daily cycle counts are performed accurately and uniformly. Review the detailed variance report. Discuss with site manager prior to updating, thus assuring the accountability of all involved in the process.
  • Hold regular and frequent safety discussions and meetings to continually reinforce the safety message.
  • Ensure that all branch personnel understand the overall company objectives as well as their individual departmental objectives and that they work together to achieve the stated objectives.
  • Be available to help resolve conflicting objectives. Reinforce continuously respectful communication among all branch personnel.
  • Audit all locations within your region on a minimum of quarterly basis, to ensure compliance to local, state, federal regulations.
  • Supports and promotes the Education Department classes and seminars.
  • Travel 50%.

Qualifications

  • 2 or 4 year Degree in Business Management or related field, or experience equivalent to schooling.
  • 4+ years of retail store management and warehouse/distribution management.
  • Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution.
  • Experience in forecasting and project management.
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse management systems, email systems, and Microsoft Office (word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience working in Eclipse Epicor ERP – strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiations skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Hands on experience in personnel management including basic knowledge of regional labor laws.
  • Proven ability to manage and interact effectively with personnel at multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills.
