As a member of Hydro Southeast (SE) region’s leadership team, the position incumbent will actively participate in the definition & implementation of the business strategies driving the SE region’s performance.

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of the SE region’s commercial
strategy in partnership with the VP/General Manager of the SE region & SE Plant Managers. Results are achieved through a team of dedicated SE sales professionals. A key objective of this position is to identify and execute initiatives directed toward protecting and growing Hydro’s position as the N.A. aluminum extrusion market leader. Additionally, this position will focus on facilitating processes, systems and communications that promote the SE region’s commercial performance while harmonizing this approach with that of ENA and Hydro Global. This position requires a team-oriented, strategic-thinking, results-oriented, innovative sales executive.


Job Responsibilities:

More specifically, the main duties of the Director of Sales – SE Region are:

  • Conduct and participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the region’s executive level to develop and implement a commercial strategy that aligns with the organization’s vision and long-term business objectives.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of account executives to ensure that the organization’s commercial strategy is implemented effectively and consistently.
  • Manage the SE region’s accounts as required including hands-on sales development, customer value management, closing sales, and on-going service of accounts.
  • Develop, evaluate and manage proposed contracts and account pricing activities to meet business objectives and financial targets.
  • Prepare timely and accurate performance and market reports as required in managing SE region’s sales efforts.
  • Develop, maintain and utilize superior market knowledge that supports sound approaches and recommendations.
  • Facilitate the general development of the business area and region’s commercial resources and skills.

Key Requirements:

ü Work Experience

o 10 – 15 years of experience in Sales/Marketing, including account management, sales personnel management and strategy development

o Hands on SE market experience; aluminum extrusions industry experience is strongly preferred

o Experience in developing commercial strategy and driving market share improvement.

o Sound knowledge and experience in pricing and contracts are required

o Detailed expertise of sales in a relationship-based environment is required

ü Education

o Related marketing or business degree or equivalent in education or experience – advanced degree is a plus

ü Language

o Fluent English mandatory – Other languages are a plus

ü People Management & other skills

o Experience in management of sales professionals is required

o Position requires a team-oriented, strategic-thinking, results-oriented, innovative sales executive
