Only Candidates with Nursing Home Experience will be Considered
Nursing Home located in Brooklyn, New York that is currently in the search for a talented and hard-working Director of Rehabilitation to join their ever-growing rehabilitation team.
In this role, the Director of Rehabilitation will direct and manage the facility’s rehab team. Additionally, the qualified candidate will be responsible for the overall Administration, Scheduling, Clinical Planning, and Development Operations of all Therapy Programs within the facility. Also, as the program grows into the new space, the Director will begin to expand the team to meet these needs.
Candidates for this position must:
- Have a valid NYS PT, OT, SLP, license and registration
- Rehabilitation management experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care
- Have experience with Case Mix Index and PPS scheduling
- Collaborate with all disciplines and facility staff.
- Plan and evaluate team goals for each patient
- Participate in Utilization Review and Care Plan meetings to discuss progress of each patient with other departments such as nursing and social work
- Provide mentorship and instruct Therapy Staff Members in specific therapy models under the supervision of the Regional Rehab Director
- Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to department staff.
