North Woods Village at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo’s newest premier dedicated Memory Care Assisted Living community, is seeking an Director of Life Enrichment. At North Woods Village, having a passion for serving those with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia is the most important quality for our team. A high-level of commitment helps distinguish our senior living community from others and ensures the best living experience for our residents and their families.
The Director of Life Enrichment is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the life enrichment activities designed to encourage resident socialization, improve daily living skills, expand personal interests and increase the physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual and psychological well-being of the residents.
Must possess a degree as an Occupational Therapist, Recreation Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant; or has completed or will complete within one year of hire an approved activities director course. If OT, RT, or COTA, licensed in good standing with the state of Michigan. Must have two years experience in a social or recreation program, leadership/management experience preferred. Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
