VNA Home Health, a non-profit organization and 5-STAR Agency, is seeking a Director of Finance / Controller to join the team and serve both internal and external customers. Your analytical and presentation skills, budgeting and forecasting, and collaboration with the Executive team for VNA Home Health are some of the qualities we are seeking.
WHAT WILL THE WORKDAY LOOK LIKE?
Under executive direction, directs the daily operations of the Accounting Finance, patient Accounts and Central Supply teams of the agency. Responsible for coordination of all activities of financial administration; including but not limited to, policies, procedures, financial reporting and analysis, annual budget process, and external audit process; collaboration with executive team assisting with forecasting/ projections for strategic growth and alignment with agency goals for sustainability serves as financial advisor for CEO and respective governing boards providing data both written and verbal; and responsible for overseeing compliance and regulatory-related financial issues and monitoring controls
QUALIFICATIONS?
- Bachelor’s degree ( Major in Accounting) / Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of five to seven years high level financial / accounting management experience
- Insurance contract experience a plus
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of home care reimbursement and regulations
- Various software programs knowledge
- Ability to balance a wide range of projects simultaneously
- At least 3 years of healthcare financial management experience preferred
WHO WILL YOU TALK TO DAILY?
- You will have routine system-wide contacts as well as contact with the general public.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH YOUR TIME (not all inclusive)?
- Handle all payroll processing, deductions, bonus payouts etc
- Oversee vendor and in-house payments and general monthly facility processing
- Coordinate all daily accounting and finance functions
- Directs development of annual fiscal goals providing forecasting/ projection/ relevant data to achieve financial goals
- Oversees controls, reports and statistics
- Acts as financial liaison with external agencies
- Coordinates annual budget / audit process, and maintenance of all documents
