Primary Objective:
Manages process improvement, modifications, upgrades and expansion projects for assigned facilities. Position is responsible for providing support and assistance to Manufacturing Plants in developing and implementing plans for major capital improvements and maintenance projects in the manufacturing process. Acts as a resource for designing and installation of new/enhanced systems and building upgrades.
Utilizes engineering studies and Company methodology to determine and define project requirements. Ensures manufacturing project engineering designs comply with codes, standards, and regulations for Local, State and Federal Regulating Authorities. Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment. Monitors and complies with air permits, storm water runoff and other environmental permits to meet state and federal requirements. Partners with MIS to carry out advance data collection and analysis for process mapping, develop budgets and cost analysis to improve operation performance and asset management. Analyzes and evaluates system procedures and programs to identify its impact to the department and to plan for continuous improvement
Education, Knowledge & Experience
Bachelorâs Degree in Maintenance, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 6+ years in related area with at least 3+ years manufacturing supervisory experience. Certification as a professional engineer (PE) required. Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with management, internal, and external customers. Ability to use sound creative thinking to solve complex manufacturing problems. Includes ability to understand technical proposals, reports and make technical presentations to management. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and exercise good judgment to resolve problems in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
