Director of Digital Transformation – Tech Savvy

Global manufacturing company is looking for a dynamic and very tech savvy leader to drive the digital transformation through new sales and marketing technologies. Digital Transformation Lead will spearhead the Enterprise Systems team in ensuring optimization and transformation of Information Technology, CRM, ERP and other applications for communications, collaboration, analytics, identity management, middleware, and more. Additionally, this position will be responsible for continually leading the technical transformation of the global business processes through implementing innovative best practices in collaboration with stakeholders in key functional areas to increase effectiveness, reduce costs, and drive value. Keys to success of this position are the ability to lead, develop and motivate a high-performing team of professionals with matching technology transformation while partnering with leadership to support the evolving needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Own, define and transform the global strategic technology roadmap for the organization’s digital transformation efforts.
• Lead the Digital Transformation function in eliciting requirements and prioritizing, planning, and delivering business and technology projects in scope, on time, and within budget using a primarily agile approach.
• Lead the transition of newly delivered transformations into long-term production operations via managed services. Work with Vertex managed service providers to take over day-to-day maintenance and support activities. Ensure optimal ongoing service performance of the solution through oversight and direction of managed services staff.
• Integrate global business/digital transformation strategy with the overall IT strategy.
• Engage and partner with senior leaders across the organization and prioritize initiatives, build support, and identify additional opportunities to maximize the strategic impact of the digital transformation of technology across the organization.
• Manage and optimize budgets to attain maximum ROI for investments in personnel, software, capital projects, and other costs.
• Develop strong relationships with vendor partners to maximize value in negotiated contracts, project implementations, and continuing operations.
• Analyze Digital Transformation strategic efforts to provide CEO and other leadership with appropriate information for strategic decision-making.
• Represent Digital Transformation inside and outside the organization with professionalism, and a high degree of collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or commensurate experience. Advanced degree a plus.
• Consistent track record as a technology leader and ability to deliver practical transformation with a measurable business value. Demonstrated ability to manage teams/projects in a multi-functional environment and build successful relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Progressive experience in enterprise application management, business analysis and project management of multiple complex business technology solutions, vendor management, and/or related disciplines.
• Expertise or certification related to one or more of the following: PMP, CBAP, Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma, and/or Agile.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening) with both technical & non-technical audiences.
• Substantial experience in the ERP/Manufacturing, with an end-to-end understanding of digital transformation of technology.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Proven ability to develop, empower and motivate direct reports to initiate and complete responsibilities in a timely fashion.
• Proactively develops and supports staff to achieve excellence through increased training, feedback and responsibility.
• Demonstrated organization and planning skills (strategic, short- and long-term); strong follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure completion of strategic plans, goals and objectives.
