Maxim’s Advanced R&D Design team is seeking an experienced digital IC design leader who will work closely with internal business unit customers and peer analog design teams to manage the specification and implementation of complex and innovative mixed signal solutions. The successful candidate will have proven technical leadership skills with the interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team.

In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Proven track record in implementation of complex digital circuits from specification, architecture, RTL, verification, tapeout, characterization, and market introduction

• Proficiency with digital design tools including behavioral modeling, design, and verification

• Experience in managing small to medium sized design teams, product development schedules, and communicating with customers

• Basic understanding of transistor-level circuit design to be able to effectively communicate with analog designers

• Desire and capability to work in a collaborative environment solving challenging engineering problems

• Willingness to travel occasionally when required

• Master of Science (or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or closely related field, plus 10+ years (or equivalent) of experience in digital or mixed signal IC design.

• Direct management experience

• Intuitive and analytical understanding of mixed signal systems

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
