JOB TITLE: Compliance/BSA Officer, Assistant VIce President

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining the Bank’s compliance programs, as directed by management. Informs and educates appropriate personnel, management and the Board of Directors of all compliance responsibilities. Assures compliance with Bank policies and procedures and federal and state regulations and guidance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop, administer and monitor a program that ensures the Bank’s compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and rules governing operations and product offerings.
Research federal and state banking laws and regulations, reviews the Bank’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Perform duties as the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and FACT Act officer; conduct various quality control reviews and monitoring in the areas of Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Customer Identification Program compliance using industry standards and regulatory guidance.
Maintain a proficient knowledge of all applicable banking rules and regulations.
Provide Bank management with information to determine the extent and accuracy of Bank compliance program.
Responsible for scheduling compliance audits and reporting results to senior management.
Maintain a compliance library and reference materials ensuring materials are current and available for use.
Conduct compliance training for all Bank personnel, including Board of Directors.
Develop, administer and review various forms to assure compliance with current regulations and guidance. Verify accuracy of APY and APR calculations used in disclosure or advertising materials.
Review CTR’s and SAR’s for accuracy.
Participate in the completion of various Risk Assessments performed by the Bank.
Work with regulators, auditors or outside consultants concerning compliance matters.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs special projects and other related tasks and duties as directed by management.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of related experience.
Extensive knowledge of bank operations, policies and procedures.
Strong ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations and guidance.
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Intermediate typing skills and knowledge of word processing (Microsoft Word) and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel) programs.
Certifications in Compliance or Audit desired (CRCM, CCBCO, CAMS etc),
