The Assistant Director of Dining Service is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day food service operations. The Assistant organizes, plans, directs, controls, and supervises functions and personnel within the dietary department to ensure the provision of quality food service and nutritional care.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the responsibility for ensuring the food offered to the residents and guests is of superior quality.
- Directs and conducts safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs
- Maintains excellent relationships with residents, guests, client, and dining department staff
- Responsible for assisting in on-boarding, training, promoting professional growth, and development of the dining services team
- Assists with all aspects of departmental financial accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associateâs degree
- Long term care experience- preferred
- Two years of direct food service operational management experience in fine dining settings, with inventory and purchasing knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- ServSafe certified â preferred
