PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively participate on CE Power leadership team in the planning and execution of strategic and tactical goals and objectives.
  • Manage engineering budget.
  • Build, develop and manage engineering team capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
  • Direct, plan, or implement policies and objectives to maximize returns on investments, or to increase productivity.
  • Work with Human Resources to develop and maintain technical job descriptions and roles.
  • Evaluate personnel for technical competency and placement as requested.
  • Lead and manage technical engineering leadership across the company focusing efforts on the support of engineering and operations, the advancement of technology, process improvement, and standards.
  • Actively participate and represent CE Power on key technical industry trade organizations.
  • Advise on technical solutions, pricing strategies and tactics to operations and sales.
  • Support relationships and sales efforts with customer base and key customers of CE Power.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

    — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

    — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

    — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

    — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience:
    A minimum of ten years related experience preferred. The incumbent must have well-developed organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills in interacting with management, technical support staff, suppliers, and customers.

  • Reasoning Development:
    Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

  • Mathematical Development
    : Ability to add, subtract, and divide all units of measure.

  • Language Development:
    Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English.

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical, or business field.

  • Travel:
    This position may include travel up to 40% of the time.
