Health e Practices is helping Pediatric Associates of the Northwest hire a Technology and Project Manager for their two clinic sites in the Portland area. In addition to managing the group’s IT Department and staff this employee will lead projects throughout the organization.
Summary
This position is responsible for planning, directing, developing, and maintaining the Practice’s information technology, including computers, computer networks and servers, computer programs, telecommunications, website, and other technologies. This role manages IT training and consultation and provides recommendations about future planning and development of resources. This role coordinates people, resources and processes to ensure that clinic projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties
1. Manages IT infrastructure, plans and ensures proper upgrades and maintenance for IT equipment. 2. Plans, organizes, and evaluates the operations of information technology systems and the electronic health record (EHR) system. 3. Develops mission, plan, goals, policies, and budget for IT department. 4. Develops project plans in alignment with the organization’s strategic plans and objectives. 5. Coordinates internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects. 6. Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, project management, business administration, healthcare administration or other related field with a minimum of five years’ experience in computer science or information technology. Master’s degree in computer science or information technology, preferred. Minimum of four years’ experience with project management in healthcare, information technology, or other relevant industry or operations leading small to medium sized projects with increasing complexity using PM methodologies and software, managing projects with multiple project teams, product development lifecycle, or quality lifecycle, making formal and informal presentations to senior and executive management and key stakeholders, and developing and modifying process standards and objectives to a project, as appropriate.
Knowledge of data analysis, systems design, problem identification, and medical data processing practice. Knowledge of computer and server hardware, software, and data communications including comparability and system configuration. Knowledge basic programming languages. Knowledge of fiscal management.
Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations
Coursework/Training in Project Management, preferred. Certified Associate in Project Management (PMI) and Project Management Professional designation (PMI) Certification, preferred.
