Strategic Initiatives Leader, Vice President
Job Summary
The Strategic Initiative Leader will report to a director and is responsible for managing execution and capability improvements for multi-functional processes that support the overall performance of the Integrated Services of Americas (ISA) Operations organization. This leader is responsible for ongoing management and continuous improvement of the processes and will be responsible for maturity of the processes over time.
Responsibilities
- Owns and coordinates cross-functional ISA Operations processes related to location strategy and execution
- Partners with division directors and their representatives to execute these processes and gathers continuous feedback in order to identify, recommend, and make improvements.
- Develops process metrics and reporting to ensure transparency of process performance. Provides regular status updates.
- May initiate planning and build of new processes as needed. Manages and monitors as formal project until deployed and in “business as usual” mode.
- Supports director in delivery of other strategic initiatives where appropriate
- Works closely and will influence partners in IT, Telecom, risk, audit, compliance, finance, etc. to execute processes
- Ensures appropriate process controls are in place and management of overall risk of processes is ongoing
- May manage a small group of direct reports. Staff management responsibilities would include: performance management, salary increases, interviewing and hiring decisions, mentoring, discipline, and termination of employment decisions.
Qualifications:
- Education preference: Bachelor Degree required, MBA is preferred
- Minimum 10-15 years process design/program/project management experience preferred
- PMP / Project management certification preferred
- Experience managing program/projects preferred
- Working knowledge in Financial Services preferred
- Six sigma certification and /or demonstrated application and detailed understanding of six sigma tools preferred
- Working experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Project required
- Priority setting, problem solving, negotiating, and conflict management skills
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently
- Ability to influence and lead in a matrix environment
- Ability to coordinate and direct activities of others
