Full-time (Permanent) Research
As Senior Researcher, you’ll be responsible for overseeing methinks’ internal research strategy and for advising on methinks’ research products. This means you will be directly involved in developing the process by which we understand our customer and thinkers (through research projects), devising and implementing studies for enterprise customers, and advocating for changes and improvements to the methinks platform that will better enable research. This will involve close alignment with our product and operations teams, as well as continuous conversation with our executive team as we build methinks around our research strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the methinks internal research strategy.
  • Advise product team on research product development.
  • Collaborate with operations team to craft and execute studies for enterprise customers (including analysis).
  • Work with executive team to incorporate research initiatives into high-level company plans.
  • Continuously identify new areas and methods of research that can be used to improve the methinks service.
  • Author research reports and work with our marketing team to publish interesting findings.

Qualifications:

  • Educated: Bachelor’s from top-tier institution.
  • Experienced: at least 3 years of experience as a professional researcher, research analyst, or scientist.
  • Rigorous: deep understanding of the scientific method, how to collect and interpret data (quantitative and qualitative), and how to consolidate findings for presentation.
  • Flexible: ability to adjust your work and your thinking as methinks grows and changes; must love being presented with new challenges and new kinds of work as the needs of the company and reality of the product develop.
  • Communicative: not only has the mind of a scientist, but the ability to communicate and advocate for ideas both internally (to product, operations, marketing, and executive teams), and externally (with enterprise customers who are looking to methinks for advice and analysis).
