Family Continuity is seeking a dynamic Program Director to provide oversight of all programmatic aspects, including clinical, fiscal and administrative operations for the provision of mental health and human services to individuals and families at our full-service Family Resource Center in Hyannis, and our micro-service Family Resource Center in Nantucket. This position requires regular travel and oversight of both FRC’s program and personnel, and is responsible for program development and enhancement of service delivery that is consistent with our strength-based approach to youth and family voice and choice. The Program Director plays a critical role in staff, families and the community understanding the scope and services provided by the program and agency.
Candidates must ensure that program systems are operating effectively and all contract requirements are met. Candidates must also be able to develop community relationships with external providers and State systems through attendance at all relevant System of Care meetings; MBHP Best Practices meetings; other state system/agencies, and maintaining community committee memberships. The Program Director is responsible for the recruitment of new staff and interns, as well as providing direct supervision in accordance with agency policies and applicable laws, team development opportunities and initiatives, and individual and group meetings to analyze case problems.
Essential Functions
- Develop and lead an Advisory Board and run groups
- Assign caseloads and related duties, coordinate activities of staff in providing services to individuals and families
- Provide support to Site Director for oversight and monitoring of physical plant upkeep, maintenance, and aesthetics for the site
- Prepare monthly reports and all other necessary forms to be submitted on a timely basis to the appropriate agency supervisor or department
- Oversee data collection functions for the program including reporting features. Attend any bidder’s conferences as needed
- Write (and support other writers) RFRs and Grants when needed
- Responsible for CQI initiatives for the program
- Review and comment on all critical incidents and safety scales and then scan (with comments added) to Division Director or designee
- Ensure compliance of all relevant licenses and contractual requirements, such as, DEEC, ASO, DCF, and DPH (as applicable)
- Maintain Persons Served Satisfaction Survey spreadsheet as it relates to youth and family feedback
- Ensure that budgets are on target and fiscal goals are being met— achieve revenue targets; actual vs. budgeted must be the same or better
- Assure timely and accurate submission of all billing related documentation
- Ensure coordination with the FRC’s Network Service providers and for managing other external community relations and monitoring community needs
- Increase referral sources for current services (marketing)
- Act as a liaison to all providers involved in the provision of services
- Ensure compliance with agency-wide Human Rights and Responsibilities for staff and individuals and families
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred; appropriate experience in lieu of degree acceptable
- Minimum of two years management and supervisory experience
- Must have worked with a broad range of populations in a human service environment
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation to and from many meetings, sites and appointments
- Must become First Aid/CPR Certified if not currently certified
- Must be certified in specific areas, as required i.e. state credentialing as a Family Partner
