Horizon Services Inc is a non-profit organization established in 1974 with the goal of reducing alcohol and other drug related problems of individuals, families, and communities. How can you make a difference in people’s lives?

The Program Director will lead Horizon South – our residential program for men, male-identifying, and non-binary clients with co-occurring alcohol, drug and mental health disorders in San Jose, CA. This position is responsible for providing a professional recovery space to clients by developing and managing evidence-based treatment programs. The Program Director leads, coaches, supervises & develops staff, builds strong relationships with county officials and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements as well as best practices. Experience with electronic health record systems, developing & implementing policies & procedures, contract & budget administration, mental health programs, or Drug Medi-Cal and Alcohol & Drug Licensing & Certification preferred.

What will make you successful in this role?

• 3 years experience leading a multidisciplinary team, preferably managing a mental health, residential, or detox program
• Strong analytical thinking, independent judgment, and experience with managing clinical environments
• Ability to write clear narrative and analytical reports
• Must show a demonstrated knowledge of computers; including but not limited to, data input, internet navigation, Microsoft word, etc
• Valid California Driver’s license, excellent driving record
• Fingerprinting/Drug testing required at time of hire

Salary: $100k-105k based on experience.
