Infrastructure Project Manager

Key Role:

Support the Office of Technical Integration within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) as an IT Infrastructure Project Manager. Support coordination and management of independent tasks and projects on an Integrated Master Schedule. Identify gaps and issues and work to resolve and mitigate risks. Support a broad range of enterprise infrastructure technology and business operations tasks in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Facilitate and coordinate across VA organizations and report back to appropriate project managers. Conduct meetings, document action items and follow-up tasks with due dates. Develop status reports and other briefings for a variety of audiences.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment
• Experience with consulting in an advisory role
• Experience with managing IT enterprise infrastructure-related projects
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks
• Ability to support the coordination and management of systems integration processes by facilitating across organizations
• Ability to coordinate with various members assigned to support OTI related tasks, and provide information back to appropriate PMs
• BS or BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific or technical discipline or an additional 8 years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in the VA
• Experience with implementing EHRs
