Food and Nutrition Director
We are looking for a full time Food and Nutrition Director/Dietary Manager. The Food and Nutrition Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the Food Service Department including, but not limited to the following:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing/approving weekly menus for a 5 week seasonal cycle
- Completing Staff schedules for all dietary employees
- Assign daily work assignments for all dietary staff and assistant dietary manager
- Completing the dietary interdisciplinary care plan, dietary MDS assessments, CAA’s and discharge summaries timely and accurately.
- Completing annual and quarterly dietary care plan reviews timely and accurately.
- Correct and update dietary care plans as needed
- Attend care plan meetings or scheduling dietary assistant to attend care plan meetings
- Keep accurate and completed Quality Assurance (QA) records
- Approve menu changes
- Writing, updating, changing, and correcting dietary policies and procedures in accordance with facility, federal, and state requirements.
- Assisting cooks with all new recipes and filling in for them when needed or assign assistant manager to assist or fill in
- Serve on the facility Safety Committee
- Work with the assistant dietary manager as needed and fill in for assistant in their absence.
- Train assistant manager to complete all dietary manager tasks to fill in as manager during the manager’s absence.
- Reprimand and discipline dietary staff in accordance with state, federal and company guidelines.
- Familiarize self with company policies and procedures, employee handbook, and company staffing and discipline guidelines.
- Report to the Administrator any complaints or issues that require their approval or assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Certified Dietary Manager or Certified Food Service manager or
- Has similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body, or
- Associate’s or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality, if the course study includes food service or restaurant management, from an accredited institution of higher learning and
- Must have no findings of abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or misappropriation of property listed on registry or background check.Job Types: Full-time
